Gadgets & Gaming

It’s an exciting month for technology and gaming fans, enthusiast, geeks, or whatever you call yourself and your tech and gadget addiction.

For starters, today is Bungie Day and once again they have nailed it with the release of the new and FREE Multiplayer Map Cold Storage among several other news worthy tidbits of Halo related information.  To that add, next week is the E3 Media & Business Summit 2008, which should be interesting this year, with news on a few games I’m looking forward to playing including Gears 2, Guitar Hero World Tour, Rockband 2, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & bolts, Halo Wars, Tom Clancy’s End War, and especially anything Bungie or Microsoft might have to offer on their next Halo related projects.  Additionally, any E3 news on future gaming hardware updates would be sweet as well.  I am an XBOX fanboy, but looking forward to any news Sony has to offer on the PS3 as there are a couple of games that have peaked my interest enough for a possible future purchase.  I’m all about engaging gaming experiences regardless of the platform.

And finally, as far as sweet gadgets go, the iPhone 3G is out this week with the launch of the iPhone App Store.  The iPhone 3G has some nice improvements over the first version and, for my needs, a great reason to make the switch.

Yep, this month is filled with full-on gadget and gaming geekery and I dig it!

Finding Time.

Damn, my console gaming addiction isn’t getting feed nearly enough these days, especially with all tasks that go with day-to-day living. I could spend some serious hours in front of my 360 playing Halo 3 alone…if I could just find the time.

How do you gamers find the time for gaming? I can rarely get online before 9:00 pm with work, the family, and a little exercise. Then I have to threaten the kids with an arm-bar or choke-hold to get the controller out of their hands. Don’t get me wrong, life is good and I wouldn’t change a thing, but damn it’s tough to find time to play.
